How do I get the activation code for Novant MyChart? ›

Patients who wish to participate will be issued a MyChart activation code during their clinic visit. This code will enable you to log in and create your own username and password. If you were not issued an activation code, you may call your primary care clinic to get one or ask to sign up during your next office visit.

You can log into your Novant Health MyChart with your New Hanover username and password. A MyChart message was sent to your New Hanover MyChart if your username is already taken by another patient at Novant Health with instructions on how to log in.

Reply to the MyChart message and attach your records by clicking the paper clip image at the bottom of the message. Choose the files you would like to upload. 3. Click Send once the files have been uploaded.

Your activation code expires after 30 days and is no longer valid after the first time you use it. This is because of security reasons. You can request a new activation code by: Clicking the 'sign up now' button found on the MyChart log in page.

You may also go to Your Menu > Communication > Messages. Messages are organized into a few folders: Bookmarked - To bookmark a message, click into the message and click the "Bookmark" link at the top. You may find these messages in the Bookmark folder later.

Understanding MyChart messaging

Multiple members of your care team may view MyChart messages in order to get an appropriate and efficient response; this may include nurses or advance practice clinicians other than your primary care provider (PCP).

In order to upload documents via myChart, planning documents must be combined into one PDF file in order to be properly uploaded into the Advance Care Planning activity.

You might receive a MyScripps activation code on your After Visit Summary or on a billing statement. You might receive a text message or email with an activation code when you come in for a visit.
